Kultivera and Region Jönköping invite filmmakers of various styles, backgrounds and nationalities to apply for a ten-day funded residency in the Swedish town of Tranås.

The filmmakers' residency will start on the 30th of June and end on the 10th of July. Much of the residency period will coincide with the multidisciplinary arts festival TRANÅS AT THE FRINGE, which takes place between the 2nd and the 9th of July. At the festival you can expect to meet artists, poets, writers, musicians, dancers and other filmmakers. If selected, you will be encouraged to work on your projects during the residency. In conversations with other interdisciplinary artists, you may share your own creative process and gain inspiration from processes learned from other disciplines. You will have an opportunity to share and present some of your film projects during the festival. You will also share a full seminar day with the PING Festival participants and a networking day to exchange experiences and creative work. Accommodation and subsistence costs will be covered by the host organisations.

The residency participants will need to provide for their own technical needs such as computer and camera equipment.

Kultivera och Region Jönköping bjuder in filmskapare oavsett nationalitet och stil att delta på ett tiodagars residens i Tranås.

 

Residenset startar den 30 juni och slutar den 10 juli. En stor del av residenstiden kommer att sammanfalla med den konstnärliga festivalen TRANÅS AT THE FRINGE, som äger rum mellan 2:a och 9:e juli. Tranås at The Fringe är en festival med flera konstnärliga utryck och du kan förvänta dig att träffa artister, poeter, författare, musiker, dansare och andra filmskapare. Vid antagning till residenset kommer du att uppmuntras att arbeta med ditt egna filmprojekt. Men vi uppmuntrar att delta i samtal med andra kreatörer på festivalen. Detta brukar leda till inspiration och nya insikter samt nya intressanta kreativa processer. Du kommer att dela med dig av din process och presentera något av dina filmprojekt under festivalen. Du kommer också att dela en hel seminariedag med PING-filmfestivaldeltagarna Detta är en nätverksdag för filmare där ni utbyter erfarenheter och inblickar i erat kreativa arbete. Kostnader för boende och mat kommer att täckas av Region Jönköping och Kultivera. Sökande står för sina egna resekostnader till Tranås.

 

Deltagaren tar själv med tekniskt utrustning till exempel kamera och redigeringsdator.
