På hjul - Exhibition

På hjul is a mobile gallery exploring the states of transience, movement, and the possibility of art existing beyond institutional spaces.

The gallery is not tied to a single address. It appears in different parts of the city, becoming part of everyday urban life and offering new ways of encountering contemporary art. Rather than waiting for its audience, the exhibition moves out into the city.

The structure of På hjul takes the form of the frame of a house. Its windows are paintings. And as long as art lives in those windows, the empty frame remains a home.

The name På hjul ("On Wheels") refers not only to the physical mobility of the structure, but also to a condition increasingly familiar to many people today: a reality in which stability can no longer be taken for granted, and permanence gives way to temporary forms of existence.
