Karolina Bergman Engman

Karolina Bergman Engman is a filmmaker and artist born in 1991, based in Malmö, Sweden and Bergen, Norway. She grew up in southern Sweden and graduated from Malmö University with a BA in Visual communication, where she started to explore her visual language in moving image, focusing on animation. Karolina now resides in Bergen, where she studies at Bergen Academy of Art concentrating on video, installation and sculpture. Her practise primarily focuses on elements of the everyday, where situations or actions are highlighted, to a point where reality develops into fiction. The last two years she has been focusing on memory processing and the connection between lost and digital spaces, mixing photography and animation.
