What does it do to you to parade your insecurities, to showcase them, to accentuate them? Through this performance Muñoz takes an aspect of herself that has been hidden from her own eyes and others, something that has fascinated her for a long time, something with lots of cultural significance: hair. Muñoz own relationship with hair has always been influenced by the gaze of others and the gossip that comes from having “unwanted” hair on a female-read body.

The majority of Josh Weissbach’s cinematic practice has been an exploration of topoanalysis, which is defined by Gaston Bacherlard as the “study of the sites of our intimate lives.” This has most directly manifested itself within The Addresses, which is an ongoing series of experimental non-fiction films that focus on the role of trauma within personal spaces that are domestic, uncanny, or imagined. 106 River Road, 38 River Road, and 601 Revir Drive each function as a stand-alone film, but when viewed together, form a loosely connected trilogy within the larger series. Weissbach will introduce the films and is open to questions or a discussion with the audience after the screening.

Det är precis det Teater TREO gör i sin föreställning Tårar är för svaga. En korridor, en dörr, en stol i ljus furu, en tavla med guldram, en stol till, ett litet bord. Kanske påminner det om en ett väntrum på en vårdcentral eller på ett äldreboende. Eller? Här möts i varje fall Stig-Olof och Gunbritt. Han en gång i tiden en handelsresande. Hon en kvinna av sin tid. TÅRAR ÄR FÖR SVAGA är en föreställning om minnen och bristen på minne och hur våldet, inte minst i nära relationer, formar och deformerar oss människor. Vad händer med dem som faktiskt överlever? Åldras våld och är vissa minnen outplånliga? Går det någonsin att verkligen förlåta, sig själv och andra?
