Marie Craven, Eduardo Yagüe

Marie Craven is a film-maker in Queensland, Australia, who has been making shorts for 35 years. Her films have exhibited extensively at international festivals and events, and gathered many awards. She creates video poems collaboratively, often via the net, with other artists around the world. Over the decades, she has been a sessional teacher at universities, technical colleges and community centres, a reviewer of films and books, an arts administrator, and curator.

 

Eduardo Yagüe is a Spanish actor, poet and poetry filmmaker. He studied at the Drama Art School of his hometown GijÛn and lived and worked in Madrid and Stockholm. He is interested in mixing genres in his videos, searching the limits and interactions of poetic and cinematographic languages. His works are characterized by the roles of actors, expressive landscapes, delicate interiors and the choice of poems from prominent international poets. He has been making poetry films for the last ten years, his works and collaborations with many other filmmakers and artists have been awarded in international videopoetry competitions and screened at festivals, museums and universities around the world.
