Annette Philo

Annette Philo is a London based Artist working in moving image, with a background in fine art, her experimental films have screened in the UK and internationally. Working with digital media and with an interest in structural films, by combining continuous takes which simultaneously converge as layers, the films edit is performed through colour grading and selection rather than cuts. Events appear through the thickness of light. The sound is generated from on location recordings and foley, which are incorporated into the structure of the films in post production. The films often feature deer but they are not wildlife documentaries, their aim to open up a dialogue which questions what is seen.
